David J. Brown, P.E. - Vice President
David J. Brown, P.E., has overseen over 3,000 projects in his capacity directing Cooke Brown's Pennsylvania office.
David was born and raised in Millville, New Jersey. He received his education from Stevens Institute of Technology, B.E. Civil Engineering, and Lehigh University, M.S. Structural Engineering.
David is particularly interested in the more challenging areas of structural engineering such as historical structures, failure investigation, structural repair, and strengthening. He has assisted in the development of innovative new structural systems, primarily focused on finding the perfect balance between creativity and established best practices.
As an adjunct professor of structural engineering at Lehigh University, David has instructed graduate students in advanced concepts in the design of steel and concrete structures.
David is a registered professional engineer in six states (Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia), and he is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Institute of Steel Construction, Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, and Fritz Engineering Research Institute.
