Omkar Thakar, P.E.


Omkar Thakar is a civil structural engineer with experience in the analysis and design of new and existing residential and commercial structures made of steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and cold-formed steel. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He has been with Cooke Brown since November 2019.


At Cooke Brown, he has been mainly involved with mid-rise multi-family residential structures. He has also worked on projects designing metal stud wall panels as part of delegated design for various residential, commercial and institutional buildings.


Outside work he enjoys playing various sports like soccer, squash, badminton, and table tennis. He also likes traveling and has visited over 25 states so far. He is an avid reader and spends most of his free time reading books on different genres.
